Oakland School is a nonprofit school just outside of Charlottesville. For 78 years, Oakland has worked to help children understand how they learn best.
Their individualized learning plans aim to build on academic strengths, reinforce developing skills, and help students gain the confidence to believe anything is possible. Across their K-12 program, multi-sensory instruction supports literacy, math, writing, organization, and executive functioning.
This fall, they’re adding ASDEC Sounds in Syllables, or SIS, to their literacy program.
