Contest Rules

Here are the official contest rules for STU-Comm Inc./ radio station WNRN. The rules are also available at the WNRN Studios located at 2250 Old Ivy Road, Suite 2, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903 during regular business hours weekdays 9:00am-5pm excluding holidays.

Contest Entry

a.) Contest entry is obtained as directed by each particular contest. Contest participants must call the request lines, email, submit a Point of Entry (POE) application, or other specified manner of entry.

b.) WNRN is not responsible for defective phone lines, dropped phone calls, phone or internet outages, e-mails not received, delays or other technical problems

Contest Dates

Unless specifically noted all contests will be run for a pre-determined length of time. This time period can be dictated by the on-air host, by a recorded promo, or by contest specific rules online. All contest dates are subject to change by WNRN without advance notice.


All contests are open to everyone 18 years or older, unless specified. Employees of WNRN, its contest sponsors, volunteer staff members, and the members of their households are ineligible to participate in any contest.

There can only be one entry per person, one entry per household, per contest. After an individual has won a contest they are ineligible to participate in any other contest for thirty days from the date they won a contest. On WNRN’s VIP Member List, an individual can win once from each category every thirty days.


No prizes from WNRN are redeemable for cash. Prizes may be transferred only at the discretion of the General Manager of WNRN. Prizes are not exchangeable.

Prizes will be available to winners at the studio for thirty days after contest ends. Prizes that are not claimed after thirty days will be forfeited. The prize may be mailed to the winner if they live thirty miles or more outside of the City of Charlottesville. Concert tickets will be at will-call of the venue holding the concert unless otherwise noted.

WNRN is not responsible for prize use or harm caused by the prize. WNRN is not responsible for taxes and fees in association with the prize.

Winners of prizes whose value exceeds $600.00 are responsible for reporting those prizes as income.  Winners agree to complete and submit all necessary forms to local, state, and federal taxation agencies.

Contest Winners

All winners for contests are selected by a random process unless otherwise noted. Decisions of station management of contest winners are final.


By participating in a WNRN contest, the winner agrees to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any station promotion, advertisement, or other material without consent or compensation.

WNRN reserves the right to disqualify any persons who tamper with the entry process or operation of the WNRN Web Site(s) or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.

By entering, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless WNRN, including all officers, directors, employees, and sponsors from any and all liability, loss, damage or injury resulting in participation in WNRN promotions and contests.

Contest Changes

WNRN reserves the right to modify or cancel any contest at any time. This includes substitution of sponsor and/or prizes.

Purchase Requirements

No purchase is necessary for any WNRN contest.


WNRN is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize. WNRN is not responsible for any delays or errors in the delivery of prize by a third party.
