Healing Strides of Virginia is a nonprofit based in Boones Mill, serving the community through equine-assisted services that support mental health, education, and healing for children, adults, veterans, and families across the region.
This September 11 and 12, they welcome you to join them for their Boones Mill Apple Festival—their third year hosting, the festival’s 50th anniversary, and Healing Strides’ 35th year of service. They’re also bringing back the Apple Smash Concert Friday night at Carter Field, followed by the festival on Main Street Saturday. All proceeds directly support their mission—because without community support, they cannot continue this work.
