Piedmont Virginia Community College Geology Club is a student club that celebrates the science of Planet Earth.
Their annual outreach event, Rock Day, will be October 3 from 2PM-4PM at the geology lab. The event is open to the public and will feature their collection of rocks that tell the deep history of Virginia, plus running the stream table, looking at sand under the microscope, and exploring the wonder of fossils.
You can bring in your special rocks for a professional geologist to identify and interpret.
