Shenandoah Green, together with Lainie Mabbitt from The Staunton Magnificent Women, are presenting The Reimagined Runway: An Upcycled Fashion Experience and Marketplace on Saturday, October 10 in downtown Staunton.
More than 40 designers are transforming discarded and secondhand materials, including things like old jeans, neckties, lampshades, vintage textiles, plastic bags, bed coils and other unexpected materials into everyday clothing, theatrical pieces, and wearable art. The event includes a runway show and marketplace featuring upcycled designs.
Proceeds from the event benefit the American Shakespeare Center and Shenandoah Green.
