The American Cancer Society is hosting their annual walk, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, at Newport News Park on Sunday, October 18. They will also be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their Southside 5K in Virginia Beach at Neptune Park on the morning of Saturday, October 24. Through these events, they aim to bring the community together to honor breast cancer survivors, remember loved ones and recognize their caretakers.
Proceeds go towards cancer research, advocacy efforts, and patient support services.
