Three Notch’d Road: The Virginia Baroque Ensemble is a nonprofit based in Charlottesville that seeks to enrich the culture of Central Virginia through historically informed performances that reveal the beauty of early music.
They are presenting public concerts in Staunton and Charlottesville Friday, November 13 through Sunday, November 15. The program, entitled “Traveling Home,” will feature songs of early America to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of our nation. An ensemble of singers and instrumentalists will explore the fuging tunes and shaped-note harmonies of our ancestors. The program will include works by early American composer and Vermont farmer Jeremiah Ingalls.
