SOAR365 was founded in 1954 to provide life-fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities and support systems for their families. The Richmond-based nonprofit has expanded to include pediatric therapy for infants, programming for school-aged kids, employment programs, and resources for seniors.
Their award-winning playground, Park365, was created as an all-inclusive park where children with and without disabilities can play together, featuring an accessible treehouse and merry-go-round, supportive swings and sensory play areas.
We spoke with CEO and President John Walker for this Hear Together profile. You can listen at the audio link below and learn more about SOAR365 here.
