Piedmont CASA is a nonprofit in Charlottesville that advocates for children in foster care by training community volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates, also known as CASAs.
Children in foster care often face many changes and uncertainty. CASAs aim to provide a consistent adult presence by building a relationship with a child, learning about their needs, and helping ensure their voice is heard in court. These volunteers receive training and ongoing support while serving children throughout the region.
