Old Southwest Inc. will be hosting their second annual Halloween Lantern Festival & Parade on Saturday, October 24. This year the parade grows beyond the Old Southwest neighborhood, bringing on Daisy Art Parade organizers, Art Project Roanoke, Scrap Collective, and Arts Connect Neighbors as collaborators, with Latinas Network joining as a partner organization. They welcome families, artists, businesses, and other neighborhood groups to take part.
They will also be holding workshops around ahead of the festival that will cover lantern making and shadow puppet building, sugar skulls, and other props to fill the park that night.
