The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and work to create opportunities for full inclusion in our community.
On October 15, they will host Lanterns and Lace at Silver Lake Event Center in Dayton. The evening includes their annual Board Members Assembly and their first-ever prom celebration, inspired by a question they hear often from the people they serve: “When are we going to have a prom?” For many adults with disabilities, prom is an experience they never had the opportunity to enjoy. With community support, they’re working to make that dream a reality.
