To commemorate their 25th anniversary, Greensky Bluegrass has released XXV, an album of reimagined songs from the band’s catalogue featuring new guests like Billy Strings and Sam Bush. They teamed up with Nathaniel Rateliff to reinvent their 2016 track “Past My Prime,” which is this week’s Free Weekly Download at WNRN.org.
“We’ve called on some dear friends to breathe a touch of new life into some classic Greensky songs for your listening pleasure,” explains banjoist and dobro player Anders Beck in a press release. “After a quarter century of Greensky Bluegrass, with plenty of new music on the horizon, we believe it’s worth celebrating what the five of us have created together.”
