Justin Golden, a Richmond-based musician, nonprofit founder, and friend of WNRN, has been diagnosed with a rare, stage 4 cancer. The Richmond music community is also rallying together in support with the introduction of Golden Fest—a series of benefit shows aimed at raising funds and celebrating Justin’s contributions to the Richmond music scene.
The series of shows kicks off on Saturday, February 22nd, at Gallery5, featuring an incredible lineup of Mackenzie Roark & The Hotpants, Tyler Meacham, Sun V Set, Moosetrap, and Jonathan Paige Brown Jr. Tickets are on sale now at $20 each, with doors opening at 6 PM and music beginning at 7 PM.
Golden Fest is more than just a single event; it’s a community-wide effort with performances scheduled at many beloved Richmond venues and creative spaces:
