Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle is a nonprofit that promotes adult literacy in the Greater Charlottesville area through confidential one-to-one English and Citizenship tutoring.
They are recruiting compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers to tutor adults in English speaking, reading, and writing. Additionally, many of their students are in need of support in preparing for their U.S. Citizenship interviews.
They are hosting Wordplay, their annual team-trivia fundraiser, at the Paramount Theater on Thursday, April 24, at 7 pm. Audience members are invited to play along while teams compete.
