Internships
Summer 2025 Internship – Charlottesville, VA.
WNRN is currently seeking interns for summer 2025. Internships will take place at our offices & studio in Charlottesville, VA.
WNRN considers an internship to be a semester-length position that is directly affiliated with an accredited College or University. This is an unpaid internship for the summer 2025 session, approx. 10 – 12 hours a week. This internship is approximately 12 weeks long or the equivalent of the summer 2025 session. Start and end dates can be based on the intern’s school schedule.
Position Summary:
Assist the WNRN team with various Membership, Events/Promotions, and Marketing tasks. Applicant should have the desire to work and learn in a fast paced and fun environment. This position is best for applicants who have a love for attending concerts, discovering new artists, and learning more about radio and the music industry at large.
Essential duties can include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with various radio station tasks and projects
- Meeting with staff members to learn about different jobs within the radio station
- Assist with updating content for website
- Support the Events & Promotions Manager for live events
- Support the Membership team for fundraising
General Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation
- Strong interest in radio, music, and the music industry
- Positive attitude and desire to learn
Skills Learned:
- Gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector
- Gain experience in radio
- Communication between departments and staff
- Community relationships within the music industry
- Organizational skills in scheduling and time management
