After starting his career with the Bristol, UK band Massive Attack, Tricky went solo in the mid-nineties. His first two albums are considered classics, but it was his third, Angels with Dirty Faces, in 1998 that World Cafe correspondent John Morrison says made Tricky a legend. John digs into that groundbreaking album on the next World Cafe.
I’m With Her’s “Ancient Light” is the Free Weekly Download at WNRN.org. The folk trio consisting of Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sara Watkins explore themes of ancestral ties and cycles of life on the track, which is featured on their sophomore album, Wild and Clear and Blue (produced by Josh Kaufman of Bonny Light Horseman).
