Hear Together: Greater Richmond Fit4Kids Fruit & Veggie Week

Greater Richmond Fit4Kids aims to make healthy eating and active living fun and accessible for kids across the Richmond region.

They’re teaming up with Richmond Public Schools and Performance Food Group to host Fruit & Veggie Week at Richmond Public Schools.

This weeklong event brings nutrition education to life by giving students a chance to taste-test fresh fruits and veggies right in their own school cafeterias!

Fit4Kids is looking for volunteers to join them at one of the 12 participating elementary schools from Monday, March 24th through Thursday, 27th during school lunch periods. Volunteers will help prepare fruit and veggie samples, hand out samples to students, and engage with students as they try something new. No previous experience is needed.

Been Stellar Mini Concert on World Cafe

Been Stellar was started by Sam Slocum and Skyler Napp, who met as teenagers in Michigan before attending NYU. With shades of The Strokes and Interpol, they’ve become one of the biggest rising stars in the New York music scene. After opening for The 1975, the band signed with Dirty Hit Records to release their debut album, Scream from New York, NY. On the next World Cafe, Been Stellar performs a mini concert of songs from the album.
