The Piedmont Master Gardeners are now accepting applications for the 2025 training class for Extension Master Gardeners serving Charlottesville and Albemarle County. This is an opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge of gardening and horticulture, and to learn science-based, environmentally sound best practices.

Trainees go on to share their expertise with the community as Master Gardener volunteers. Our class runs from January into April, with an online session every Tuesday evening and a hands-on workshop every other Saturday. Master Gardener mentors will work with trainees every step of the way.

The Community Table in Rockbridge County connects those at risk of hunger and those able and willing to assist. Everyone is invited to share a meal and enjoy a night out, at their “restaurant without a cash register.”

The Community Table averages 1,000 meals served per month, addressing food insecurity in our area. As food costs rise, they remain committed to expanding their services and reducing hunger in Rockbridge County.
