Three Notch’d Road: The Virginia Baroque Ensemble is a nonprofit based in Charlottesville that seeks to enrich the culture of Central Virginia through historically informed performances that reveal the beauty of early music.

They are presenting the opening program of their fourteenth season in Staunton, Crozet, and Charlottesville public concerts on Friday, November 8th; Saturday, November 9th; and Sunday, November 10th. This program, entitled “Requiem Æternam,” will feature soprano Sheila Dietrich and countertenor Daniel Moody and will include two monumental works by a young J.S. Bach, selections from American hymnody and folksong, English Renaissance polyphony, and a piece by living American composer David Hughes.
