The Branch Museum of Architecture & Design in Richmond is showing an exhibition titled “Women’s Rights are Human Rights”, a graphic design poster show tackling themes of gender-based inequality, discrimination, and violence. The posters will be up in the Branch through February, with copies displayed on their website.
In Charlottesville, New City Arts Initiative has work by Sri Kodakalla on display through October 26th. Kodakalla’s series, titled “Growing Out of Season”, is a mixed-media show depicting decomposition and childhood memory.
Staunton Outside Arts is an initiative bringing creative projects to neighborhoods and open spaces around the greater area. They are partnering with Terrain Biennial to develop a grassroots pop-up public art exhibition throughout Staunton, taking place in people’s yards, underutilized spaces, and other public venues around the city.
