Community Connection: Zephyrus Christmas program

Zephyrus, Central Virginia’s early music vocal ensemble is a Charlottesville-based non-profit dedicated to the study and performance of music from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras. To mark the 400th anniversary of William Byrd’s death, Zephyrus presents a Christmas program with music by Byrd and his teacher, colleague, and friend, Thomas Tallis, called An English Renaissance Christmas: Music by Tallis & Byrd. Together they showcase the best seasonal music from the golden age of English Renaissance music. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 8th, at St. Paul’s Memorial Church in Charlottesville, and at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9th, at Trinity Episcopal Church Charlottesville. You can find complete concert information online at zephyrus-va.org, on Facebook, or by calling 434-963-4690.  Both concert venues are wheelchair accessible.
